Last night was a night to be remembered at the highly anticipated first ever “see now, buy now” Alice + Olivia runway show. From the star-studded front row to high-profile Nieman Marcus buyers eyeing limited-edition pieces as they sashayed down the catwalk, the event provided powerful evidence that this new form of fashion commerce strategy is here to stay. Alica + Olivia’s highly coveted Spring 2016 line is a wanderlust fairytale with an elegant and refined twist– floor-length vests, bell bottoms, floral embroidery and delicate chiffon tempered by clean lines, perfect tailoring, and demure hems.

The show concluded with a surreal shower of rose petals falling from the ceiling, descending onto models and noteworthy audience members alike as Benet took a bow.

Among the models who walked, our girls Ashley Moore and Faith Picozzi were granted the good fortune of being featured beyond the scope of the runway and into the festival-wear campaign shot by Jared Kocka. The campaign, much like the runway, features select pieces from Benet’s Grateful Dead capsule line.

We’re keeping our eyes on several key pieces- particularly the Lavergne Asymmetrical Ruffle Layer Gown and the Chloe Embellished Crop Jacket. As if we weren’t excited for Coachella already, this line comes just in time to make our festival-wear wish list! Now, if only a festival fairy godmother could appear and manifest the outfits into our suitcases…

Waking up is hard enough, so why not slip into something just as comfortable as your PJs? Our morning wardrobe process is usually clouded with the words “beauty is pain,” but whoever spoke those fateful words has yet to see American Eagle Outfitters newest line. Luckily, we got to view it all firsthand – Bridget modeled this breezy collection, the perfect transition from your bed into being a real human being. Exhibit A: the Soft & Sexy Long Sleeve T-Shirt. The name says it all; it’s comfy enough to lounge in, but cute enough to not leave you mortified while bumping into your crush on your local coffee run. Win win.

Aside from easing you into your day with style, basics are also the best pieces to get you from winter to spring, aka festival season. We suggest packing the Lace Back T-Shirt and Open Shoulder T-Shirt in your ‘Chella tote, both of which play up the feminine side of a plain tee with lace detailing and a peak of skin. Toss your hair up in a messy bun or finger-comb for an effortless loose waves, and voila! Whether you’re sipping coffee or screaming the lyrics of your favorite headliner, AEO’s Spring collection will make you want to carpe diem like never before.

Weekend 1 of the 2014 Coachella festival has wrapped, and a few of our girls were front and center for it all. Alexis Ren, Monica Ollander (arriving by helicopter, no less), Brianna Gilchrist, Laura Harrier, and Cameron Richardson were just a few of the thousands of people that flocked to Indio, CA for the three day event. It was beyond awesome, and we’ve got the pictures to prove it.

Coachella Music Festival is right around the corner and everyone wants to know what to wear. While many are unable to seek tips from a pro, NOUSzine went straight to the source and covered Coachella style from day to night. LF Robertson’s in-house style expert, Ashley, shared with us on how to take your look from day to night without losing your sense of personal style. Watch as she shares how she styled our girls, Phoenix and Kym in four great outfits. You can’t lose with these tips!

Coachella Style with LF from Nous Model Management on Vimeo.

For day, Ashley chose a flirty flower girl look for Kym. Flowers galore but roughed up with a pair of amazing military style boots by Steve Madden.

“One of the main trends, going on is the crochet; inside the shredding we have the crotchet exposed. Another must have for Coachella is the cropped tops, right here we have the Mullal floral top. Perfectly fits her, super comfy with the elastic band on the back. Another big trend going forward is the floral headdress. We’ve got the Steve Madden Troopa boots and to add a little bit girly flair we put the ruffled socks with it just to make it a little bit girly but rough it up for the desert. Also we have the Rebbeca Minkoff new spring 2013 cross body bag has the studs going down the side so a little bit of edge but still very girly.”

Phoenix’s rocked a bohemian inspired look, including a lace bustier to the aztec print.

“We have the paper heart soft shorts with the little fringe details. You’re going to see a lot of soft shorts going forward going into the spring/summer season with the aztec print. We have the bohemian headdress, the Rebecca Minkoff bag, super cute that can hold just about anything you need for Coachella. down here we have the M.I.A. gladiator sandals, super cute, they also come in white which is really great. We just like this whole look together, it’s very cohesive with the bohemian style, perfect for Coachella no matter how hot it gets she’s going to stay nice and cute and cool.”

Kym can’t be missed partying on the field in a neon green beanie, bleached ACDC tee and distressed denim.

“So night one outfit that Kym’s got on is very edgy rocker-chic. We have the ‘Furst of a Kind’ bleached out vintage tee. We spend a lot of time remaking the vintage tees. You cannot find these anywhere except LF. Down below we have the Report Ackley boot. You’re going to see a ton of exposed boots, lots of buckles going forward. Another perfect choice for Coachella, that way your feet don’t get too ruffed up out in the desert. We have the neon beanie going on so you can’t get lost at night, your friends will be able to find you.”

Phoenix kept her bohemian inspired look going through the night in a dress with aztec print and Steven Madden Thunda boots.

“Phoenix night time outfit for Coachella consists of this really cute angel diva dress, you’ve got the aztec print going down the front so you can still carry that bohemian sense of style throughout the night. We have this really awesome Carmar denim jacket, a bunch of distressing to kind of rough it up, edge it up just a little bit but the dress still keeps it very girly.”
