Beauty. It’s so much more than just a pretty face, especially when it comes to the world of beauty photography! Part portrait, part fashion editorial- it’s an extremely difficult niche to master as a photographer. Not only do you have to have superior retouching skills and a keen eye for detail and editing, but you also need to have a killer makeup artist and a powerful connection with the model. A great beauty shot is something truly striking.
Jenn Collins and her arsenal of insanely talented MUAs have got all of the elements of a perfect beauty image down to a science. Time after time, Jenn and her team have demonstrated that they are some of the best artists in their field. Here are some of the highlights of their best work with Nous Models:

How do you describe your personal style?
I think my personal style is comfortable but stylish. I really like Free People’s style of clothes, (the boho look,) but I also like to stay pretty simple in my outfits! I don’t really like to wear a lot of jewelry, just a few small pieces. I like a natural look so I don’t wear much makeup.
What do you love to do on the weekends?
On the weekends I like to hike or do something outside. I really like to adventure and see what’s around me.
When did you know you wanted to be a model?
I knew I wanted to be a model when my parents were telling me about a friend of theirs who was a model and how she was on a billboard in New York. They showed me a bunch of pictures of her, and then I was like I want to do that.
What excites you most about being a model?
The most exciting thing about modeling is traveling in my opinion. You never know where you are going to go!
What item in your closet could you never part with?
I would never part with my Rag and Bone boyfriend jeans, they are cute but comfortable!
What’s your favorite hair or makeup trick?
My favorite hair trick is spraying beach wave spray in my hair and then just letting it do its thing!
Do you have any hidden talents?
Hmmmm….I can play basketball, a variety of Taylor Swift songs on the guitar, and I can ride horses ( I grew up with them), and I can bake the worst cookies you have ever tasted.
Tell a random, funny story of something that’s happened to you in the past.
A random thing that happened to me was just recently actually, I was riding in the car and felt something weird in my hair. I noticed it was glue, and then I had to drive for and hour and a half holding the piece of my hair that had glue in it until we could cut it out. We had to cut it out at albertsons…it was embarrassing!
