Runway

Wow! Emily Hall has worked her runway magic again in the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Australia! After taking part in the New York, Milan, London, and Madrid shows last year, it’s only natural that Miss Hall would dazzle the world-down-under with her trailblazer vibes!  With a superstar presence, Emily booked a total of eight shows.  We’re so proud of you baby girl!

To view her journey, take a peep below!:

Albus Lumen

Surrounded by a naturally lit courtyard, first on Emily Hall’s list was walking down Albus Lumen‘s runway. Emily appeared radiant in her fabulous opaque black maxi-dress, making this line one to talk about! Albus Lumen’s message is to put forth value towards the confidence in simplicity. It’s name is Latin for “white light,” as it is not weighed down by trends. They also draw strength from detailed minimalism, providing both comfort and elegance in all their designs. I mean, what’s not to love about a fashion line with principle? We dig it!

Sass and Bide

Sass & Bide

Also, for her second show on day one, how sophisticated is this dress worn by Emily for Sass & Bide? With an eye for incoming trends, Sass & Bide has evolved themselves into a highly creative Australian designer brand, influenced by the bold and individualistic types of women. Emily looked absolutely fierce this season on their runway, blurring the lines between edgy and classic in her attire. We can definitely see this item being sold out in the near future, as boss ladies everywhere will love the way they look and feel in this style!

Hansen & Gretel

Day two began on a high note with the au courant Hansen & Gretel 2017 AFW Runway Show. Light and whimsical with a youthful flair is the perfect way to describe Hansen & Gretel’s latest line, pertaining a style that excites our inner-dolls. Emily wore a mildly-off-the-shoulder flower print dress that captivated her audience, skyrocketing the bar for next season. We can definitely see these trends doing well on the ecommerce market, and are very excited upon their release! For those that fear putting down all their money at once, they offer bargain layaway rates that will make your life much easier! I mean, what an original thing to offer? We totally just joined their fan club. 😉

Project NextGen

Project NextGen

Continuing into day two, Emily had the privilege of appearing in the Project NextGen Runway Show. According to the official Mercedes-Benz Australian Fashion Week website, Project NextGen is “is intended to provide a platform to discover and support emerging Australian fashion designers.” Therefore, “by connecting these gifted individuals with an experienced panel of industry insiders, the program mentors Australian talent to help them hone a broad range of skills by elevating their profile through industry connections and ongoing business support.”

How cool! It’s always refreshing to see the fashion industry extend their hand out to the dreamers. After seeing Emily walk in this show wearing a stylish black leotard alongside a detailed red choker with fringe, we can’t help but be excited for where fashion is heading (it’s so cute!).

Zambesi

For the final show on day two, Emily walked for Zambesi, wearing three separate designs. For her first appearance, she wore a jet-black-long-sleeve-cover-up over a black slip. The cover-up is sheer in design, appearing airy and weightless in movement (perfect for breezy nights in the city). It’s an absolute must have for the woman on-the-go, aiming to look chic, without all the fuss!

For her second appearance, Emily mesmerized the audience in a tan mesh top, a pair of loose-fitting black shorts, and a lengthy black sheer jacket. Mesh has definitely made a comeback this year, and now we’re reminded why! It’s the perfect add-on to a simplistic tone of style, adding that extra “zest” that we all long for when putting together an attire.

Lastly, for Emily’s final appearance in the Zambesi Show, she rocked a multi-color embellished dress with an illuminating white-sheer underlay. Our fashion forecasters say that we are to see much of the material used in the underlay in the future, and we’re not complaining! We love this modern design, as it is as pretty to look at as it is unique.

Ginger + Smart

Day three started out on a bright note, with Emily walking in the Ginger + Smart 18 Collection Runway Show. In this show, Emily stole the stage in a long and vibrant blue dress, with an added flair. For accessories, she came equipped with a bright pink shoulder bag, adding a dramatic contrast, providing the perfect “pop” of color. This line aims to embrace a joyful, optimistic celebration of women in the arts, and Emily couldn’t have been a better fit for this role, as she is a true work of art!

Romance Was Born

Day Three continued on with Emily rocking out in Romance Was Born‘s fashion show. This line is definitely the most edgiest in terms of design, having each of their models evolving into a complete embodiment of living art. Romance Was Born’s goal in design is to create  clothing that is more than just a beautiful garment, but an immersive cultural experience that pushes to provoke an emotional response. After taking a peek below at the attire Emily wore for their Australian Fashion Week runway show, we are feeling all the positive feels!

VMajor

Wrapping up day three, Emily did not go out quietly. Nope, she stole the stage again like the superstar she is, wearing two groundbreaking designs by VMajor. According to their designers, Victor Zhu and Nicole Lin, this line is “designed for independent and stylish professional women all over the world. It is about setting a standard, highlighting the international aspects and mixed identity of the brand and reflecting beautiful, confident, masculine yet feminine, modern women.” We can definitely see their message being shared through what Emily was picked to wear, as she looks absolutely chic!

In her first outfit, Emily flaunted a baby blue jacket over a patch-printed silk dress. This innovative approach to business attire is stimulating, as it leaves behind the outdated belief that to be professional, you must wear all black. If you love what you do, why not add a spice of color to wardrobe? It will make your day that much brighter!

In her second attire, Emily provided us with the denim kick we have been obsessing about over the past couple years, yet VMajor added a new spin: a denim fringe-like dress! How neat! This new take on denim is bound to make shopaholics out of all of us. I mean, how stunning does Emily look? We’re speechless!

If you haven’t been following Emily Hall on social media yet, now is the time to start. This gorgeous girl continues to take the fashion world by storm with her tireless work ethic, most recently leading her to walking thirteen shows in Madrid Fashion Week in four days. After a stunning debut in New York, Milan, and London, it was only fitting for Madrid to be next on her tour de force.

Emily sent her MFW client list à la napkin, right before her first job in the morning.

Walking for sought-after international designers like Menchén Tomás, Maria Ke Fishermann, and Andrés Sardá saw her repping all the trends we look forward to seeing in the coming seasons, from vintage glam to modern rebel. (Also, we’d say strutting down the runway in a Marie Antoinette getup fulfills every girl’s modeling daydream.) One of our particular favorites was Teresa Helbig‘s Old Money collection, which took aristocratic fashion for a playful romp through 70’s flair with maximalist detailing.

When asked for a complete list of all the designers she walked for, this busy bee scrawled it on a napkin at a cafe before heading to her first job in the morning. (Now that’s dedication!) We couldn’t be more thrilled to see this #girlboss’s dreams coming true, one step at a time. Keep scrolling to see how Emily rocked Madrid Fashion Week.

Stating Emily Hall did well at her opening Fashion Week season would be a major understatement– we’d say walking in a total of eighteen shows in three different countries deserves major props at the very least! If that doesn’t grab your attention, the incredible collections she modeled continue to dominate our feeds. Keep scrolling to take a look back at the shows she walked in this season.

Ready, set, swim! Once a year, babes from all over the country head to Miami to both showcase and preview the hottest suits of the season. Excited to get in on the action, the Nous team packed up and jet-setted from the West Coast to the Gulf Coast to get in on the action. It may have been our debut season showing there, but we’re believers in “Go Big, or Go Home”, and we were certainly not about to go home.

The crowd could not get enough of Ashley Moore, who was thrilled to close the show for Frankie’s Bikinis and to both open and close For Love and Lemons, whose whimsical and romantic pieces breathed new life into classic bohemian-chic. She also got to rock one of the four hand-made pop art looks Frankie’s collaborated on with Kim Gordon, the pretty pastel-minded genius behind the creation of Wildfox. Taylor Hannum opened for Indah Clothing in their modern vintage take on swimwear and joined Ashley at the For Love & Lemons show for a few dazzling numbers. Allie Holton and KJ SKorge also made appearances for Beach Bunny and Amuse Society, respectively. Between the runway glamour and backstage interviews, Nous girls sunbathed at the pool, recharged at spa lounges, and hit the beach in the Miami heat.

Last night was a night to be remembered at the highly anticipated first ever “see now, buy now” Alice + Olivia runway show. From the star-studded front row to high-profile Nieman Marcus buyers eyeing limited-edition pieces as they sashayed down the catwalk, the event provided powerful evidence that this new form of fashion commerce strategy is here to stay. Alica + Olivia’s highly coveted Spring 2016 line is a wanderlust fairytale with an elegant and refined twist– floor-length vests, bell bottoms, floral embroidery and delicate chiffon tempered by clean lines, perfect tailoring, and demure hems.

The show concluded with a surreal shower of rose petals falling from the ceiling, descending onto models and noteworthy audience members alike as Benet took a bow.

Among the models who walked, our girls Ashley Moore and Faith Picozzi were granted the good fortune of being featured beyond the scope of the runway and into the festival-wear campaign shot by Jared Kocka. The campaign, much like the runway, features select pieces from Benet’s Grateful Dead capsule line.

We’re keeping our eyes on several key pieces- particularly the Lavergne Asymmetrical Ruffle Layer Gown and the Chloe Embellished Crop Jacket. As if we weren’t excited for Coachella already, this line comes just in time to make our festival-wear wish list! Now, if only a festival fairy godmother could appear and manifest the outfits into our suitcases…

Resort fashion was taken to the next level quite literally at last night’s Louis Vuitton Cruise Collection show. Situated high above ground at the gorgeous Bob Hope Estate in Palm Springs, guests like the face of the brand Michelle Williams, besties Miranda Kerr and Selena Gomez and even Kanye West himself enjoyed the picturesque, hilltop views of mountains and palm trees.

Dream vacation setting aside, the clothes were pretty major. Designer Nicolas Ghesquière presented long, flowy A-line maxies with structured moto jackets that created the perfect equilibrium of California cool. Leather, suede and fringe details also contributed to the mixture of high-low style, as seen on our model Carly Moore.

After the show wrapped, the crowd ventured over to the Parker Hotel to munch on bites of West Coast staples like tacos and caviche in between claw games featuring Louis Vuitton purses as prizes (we’ll let that just sink in for a minute). All in all, this event seemed like the true California dream.

California, here they come! Continuing along the western road recently paved by high fashion designers Burberry and Tom Ford, global luxury house Louis Vuitton is ditching Paris for Palm Springs, CA to host their Cruise 16 Resort Collection.

Palm Springs has long been a chic oasis only a two-hour escape from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles (It’s the Hamptons to our Manhattan).  Now, with the arrival of creative director Nicolas Ghesquière and the rest of the LV squad, the global spotlight is finally cast on the modern desert town, solidifying its rise as a fashion capital.

Tonight’s invite-only show is rumored to draw an elite crowd of around 800-1000 to the historic Bob Hope House. This famous estate boasts futuristic, out-of-this-world vibes that are sure to be a foreshadowing of something major in store. And while the details of this much-anticipated event are understandably being kept on the DL, we anticipate that the results are going to be #epic.

Catch the action live here, and check back tomorrow for our recap of what’s sure to be nothing short of an amazing show. Because you know what they say: shoot for the moon (or, a house that looks like the moon).

LA Fashion Week is over! Our models Polina and TyLynn walked for Sue Wong, a couture designer with dramatic flair.

“The Sue Wong show was dramatic from the music to the head pieces. She herself is something out of an extravagant opera. I have worked with her for a while now and admire her tenacity.” – TyLynn

“I loved wearing Sue’s collection. The clothes are elegant, but what makes the experience unique is that Sue makes the show an otherworldly experience. The accessories and the headpieces, paired up with lighting and music, really make you feel like you are in a magical world. Her latest collection was called Sirens and Nymphs, and I definitely felt like a siren up on that runway.” – Polina
